Adding Custom Input Fields to the User Interface

Use dynamic form fields to add custom input fields to the configuration slide-out for a resource.

Form fields are custom input fields that you can add to the SystemLink Enterprise UI. Dynamic form fields (DFFs) allow you to create custom input fields that can adapt according to the properties of your resources.

DFFs let you collect additional information about a resource by providing additional input fields the user.

You can use DFFs to add fields to the following resources.
  • Assets
  • Products
  • Systems
  • Test Plans
  • Work Orders

Display rules allow you to control when a field is visible to the user. For example, you can specify that a field is visible only when the vendor for the asset is NI.
