Setting Target Parameters in Target Sweeps

  1. Select the Mode dropdown on the top right of the main Target panel.
  2. Select Target Sweeps.
  3. Click Disabled/Enabled to enable targets. The software supports between one and three or four targets per instrument, depending on the selected personality.
  4. Enter the target parameters for the target(s). You can configure the following settings for each target based upon the mode of operation:
    • Time-Frequency
      • Start Time Offset—Amount of time that the pulse is delayed inside the system.
      • Time Offset Rate of Change—Rate at which the pulse is delayed inside the system.
      • Start Attenuation Offset—Change in power level (gains not supported) of the pulse inside the system.
      • Attenuation Offset Rate of Change—Rate at which the power level changes inside the system.
      • Start Frequency Offset—Absolute frequency shift to simulate a moving target.
      • Frequency Offset Rate of Change—Rate at which the absolute frequency shifts.
    • Range-Velocity
      • Starting Range—The starting distance, in meters, at which the pulse is seen.
      • Range Rate of Change—Rate at which the pulse distance changes over time in relation to the scenario duration.
      • Start Attenuation Offset—Change in power level (gains not supported) of the pulse inside the system.
      • Attenuation Offset Rate of Change—Rate at which the power level changes inside the system.
      • Starting Relative Velocity—The initial velocity of a pulse relative to the radar source, represented as a vector quantity.
      • Relative Velocity Rate of Change—Rate at which the relative velocity changes over time.
  5. Set a Scenario Duration.
  6. Set a Target Configuration Update Rate.
  7. Click Send Target Configuration Sweep Parameters to build the list in software.
