Incorporating the RTG Coprocessor Harness
The RTG coprocessor harness templates provide two built-in ways to interact with the RTG, through a combination of LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA.
- Creating additional targets
- Adding radar pulse measurements
- Creating clutter simulation
- Real-time signal monitoring
- Dynamic target configuration creation on the FPGA
- Target configurations sourced from another device
- Transfer of target configurations faster than is possible from a non-real-time windows host
Coprocessor Hardware Components
The coprocessor harness is designed to work with NI FPGA-based processing hardware. You must place the coprocessor in the same PXIe chassis where the RTG is located. IQ data streaming shares data with the RTG through a cable connected to the VST and the coprocessor front panel. Target streaming shares data with the RTG using peer-to-peer (P2P) communication on the PXI backplane. RTG supports the following coprocessor harness hardware:
- PXIe-6594 (Not compatible with the PXIe-5842 VST)
- PXIe-7903
Coprocessor Software Components
You can use the Coprocessor Harness with the following:
- RTG coprocessor link host
- RTG coprocessor target streaming host
