Installing an Interface Adapter Module on the Carrier
Install up to two interface adapter modules on the carrier before installing the carrier in the chassis.
Note When you install both a serial input device
and a serial output device, you must install the serial output device in Slot 1. When you
install only one interface adapter module, you can use either Slot 1 or Slot 2.
What you need
to install the interface adapter module:- Four Torx® mounting screws
- T8 Torx driver
- Remove any filler panels from the carrier, if installed. To remove a filler panel, remove the mounting screws that secure the panel to the carrier.
- Insert the I/O connectors at an angle through the hole in the front panel.
-
Align the connector at the rear of the interface adapter module with the interface adapter module board
to board connector.
