The niSwitch Send Software Trigger VI and the niSwitch_SendSoftwareTrigger function allow you to advance to the next entry in a scan list through a software command. You can use this software command instead of sending triggers on the trigger input terminal. The switch can still optionally send a trigger on measurement complete once it has settled. Call the niSwitch Send Software Trigger VI or the niSwitch_SendSoftwareTrigger function again to execute the next scan list entry. The switch can still optionally send a trigger on the digital pulse, or measurement complete signal, once it has settled. The following figure represents a software trigger scanning application.
