Using NI VMS in NI TestStand
This topic assumes that you are using NI TestStand to manage your code development and that you are familiar with NI TestStand.
To develop an NI VMS application in NI TestStand, follow these general steps:
- Add an NI VMS Analyzer Setup step by dragging it from the Insertion Palette pane or by inserting it directly into the sequence using the context menu.
- Click Edit Analyser on the NI VMS tab of the Step Settings pane.
- Configure the NI VMS step with the required video source, test element locations, and measurement type.
- Test the configuration, if possible, and click OK to commit the changes to NI TestStand.
- Right click the NI VMS Analyzer step and select Edit Limits to set up the pass/fail limits for each analysis result.
- Add other NI VMS step types to the TestStand sequence to deal with such tasks as postprocessing and sequence execution. Refer to Utilities for more information.
To run a test sequence, follow these general steps:
- Run the test sequence.
- Evaluate the results for pass/fail.
