- Representing the hardware and software components in the system
- Creating alarms and procedures that execute on the target
- Creating mappings to connect channels
- Configuring settings of the VeriStand Engine, such as the rate at which the system runs

- Double-click the system definition file
(.nivssdf) in the
Project Files pane of the
VeriStand Editor.
- Launch a system definition file from
Project Files and click
Configure.
