Splitting signals lets you work with signal partitions independently.

NI-VCOM automatically splits signals defined in the bus description files referenced by the communication port. For example, NI-VCOM can split all 64-bit signals into 8-bit by 8-bit signals. As a result, NI-VCOM can handle the original signal as an array of bytes. This way, you can work with all the partitions of the original signal independently.
