Linking a Sequence File to a LabVIEW Project File (TSM)

Use the Semiconductor Module Link Manager dialog box to link sequence files to a LabVIEW project file, which allows the selected sequence file(s) to populate pin, relay, relay configuration, specification, published data ID, and input data ID controls in the selected LabVIEW project. Choose one of the following options to launch the Semiconductor Module Link Manager dialog box:

  • Click the Semiconductor Module Link Manager button Semiconductor Module Link Manager in the Project Explorer window.
  • Right-click the project root in the Project Explorer window and select Semiconductor Module Link Manager.
  • Right-click the control and select Semiconductor Module Link Manager.

The Semiconductor Module Link Manager dialog box allows you to add or remove linked sequence files and displays all sequence files linked to the open LabVIEW project file. If you link multiple sequence files with different pin map or specification files, TSM combines the values into a single list when populating the controls. The order of the sequence files determines the order in which the values are listed in the control. To reorder the sequence files, use drag and drop.

If you make any changes in the Semiconductor Module Link Manager dialog box, the dialog box prompts you to save now or to save the project later. If you do not save now, you must save later for the changes to persist.

If you modify the pin map, specification files, published data IDs, or input data IDs of a linked sequence file while the LabVIEW project file is open, right-click the corresponding control and click Refresh to update the listed values.

You can also link a TSM sequence file to a LabVIEW project file in TSM. Refer to LabVIEW Project Panel in the TestStand Semiconductor Module Help for more information.
