Wait Step Configuration Dialog Box
Select Configure Wait in the context menu for the step to launch the Wait Step Configuration dialog box from a TestStand User Interface . You can also click Configure Wait on the General tab of the Step Properties dialog box. In the Wait Step Configuration dialog box, select an operation for the step to perform.
The following operations are available when you use the Wait step type:
- Time Interval —Causes a thread to wait for a duration you specify. The thread sleeps while it waits, thereby relinquishing processing time to other threads.
- Time Multiple —Causes a thread to wait until the value of the internal timer becomes a multiple of the time you specify.
- Thread —Waits for a TestStand thread to finish executing.
- Execution —Waits for the completion of a TestStand execution.
Note
In certain situations, Wait steps take longer to execute than the time you specify in the step when the operating system timer is running slower than actual time. Visit
