Set Process Affinity Operation - CPU Affinity Step Configuration Dialog Box
Set Process Affinity Operation
Use the Set Process Affinity operation to modify the current process affinity mask, which represents the set of CPUs on which the process is allowed to run. When you set the process affinity for a sequence, save the previous affinity in the Setup step group and restore the affinity in the Cleanup step group. Select the Set Process Affinity option on the CPU Affinity Step Configuration dialog box to display the Set Process Affinity operation settings.
The Set Process Affinity operation contains the following option:
-
New Process Affinity
—A numeric value expression that indicates the new affinity mask for the process. The new process affinity mask must be a subset of the system affinity mask.
Note If you modify the process affinity mask after the thread affinity is set, the thread affinity is reset to match the process affinity. When you are modifying both the process affinity mask and the thread affinity mask, modify the process affinity mask first, then modify the thread affinity mask.
