Sequence File Tab

A TestStand User Interface displays the Sequence File tab when you view the list of open sequence files in the list bar control. The Sequence File tab displays the contents of the selected sequence file.

The Sequence File tab contains the following panes:

  • Steps —The steps in the current sequence.
  • Variables —Displays the sequence context for the selected sequence file. When editing a sequence file, you can modify values of existing properties and variables as well as insert and delete variables.
  • Sequences —The sequences in the selected file and selects the sequence to display in the Steps List.
  • Insertion Palette —Displays objects that you can insert into sequence files. The control has two lists. The Step Types list displays the TestStand step type menu, and the Templates list displays user-defined template sequences, steps, and variables. The Insertion Palette control is visible only in Editor Mode.

The following buttons appear along the bottom of the Sequence File tab:

  • Test UUTs —Starts a Test UUTs execution using the current sequence file. This button is visible only when the selected sequence file uses a process model that includes a Test UUTs Execution entry point.
  • Single Pass —Starts a Single Pass execution using the current sequence file. This button is visible only when the selected sequence file uses a process model that includes a Single Pass Execution entry point.
  • Run <Selected Sequence> —Executes the selected sequence without generating a report.
