Report Pane - Execution Window

Report Pane

By default, an execution only generates a report when you start the execution through an Execution entry point , such as Test UUTs or Single Pass. Select Configure»Result Processing to launch the Result Processing dialog box and then launch the Report Options dialog box for an instance of the built-in reporting plug-in to set options that control report generation. The built-in reporting plug-in can generate reports in HTML, ASCII-text, XML , and ATML formats.

You can also use an external application to view reports in these or other formats by selecting View»Launch Report Viewer when an Execution window is active. Select Configure»External Viewers to launch the Configure External Viewers dialog box and specify the external application TestStand launches to display a particular report format.

Note
  • If you are using the equivalent legacy TestStand 2010 process models, select Configure»Report Options to launch the Report Options dialog box and set options that control report generation.
  • If the sequence generates a large number of results, it can take a substantial amount of time to load and display the report. If the report does not appear in an acceptable amount of time, select Configure»Result Processing to launch the Result Processing dialog box and then launch the Report Options dialog box for the built-in reporting plug-in to specify a filter expression that reduces the number of results in the report. If you are using the equivalent legacy TestStand 2010 process models and the report does not appear in an acceptable amount of time, select Configure»Report Options to specify a filter expression that reduces the number of results in the report. Another way to display a large report quickly is to change the report format to ASCII-text.
