Package Distribution Tab - TestStand Deployment Utility
Package Distribution Options Tab
Use the Package Distribution Options tab to configure the settings the TestStand Deployment Utility uses to create a package distribution of the files included in the deployment, and to specify which components to include from TestStand and other National Instruments software. The Package Distribution Options tab is enabled when you select the package-based distribution build output option in the mode tab
The Package Distribution Options tab contains the following options:
- Display Name —Specifies a user-friendly name for the package. The name is displayed in NI Package manager.
- Output Directory —The directory in which the deployment utility builds the package distribution.
- Install TestStand Runtime —Enable this option to install the TestStand Runtime, which is required to execute TestStand sequences on the test station computer and includes the TestStand Engine.
- Dependencies —Launches the Dependencies dialog box, in which you can specify dependencies for the package from a list of packages on the development computer installer, such as the LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine. If the build output is configured to the Repository or Package installer option, required dependency packages are included in the build output. If you set the build output to Single Package, the dependent packages are not included and must be present on the target machine before you can install the deployed package.
- Configure Package Attributes —Launches the Configure Package Attributes dialog box, in which you can customize the attributes of the package which contains the files in the deployment.
