Open TestStand SQL File Dialog Box
Select File»Open TestStand SQL Files to launch the Open TestStand SQL File dialog box. This menu option is enabled when at least one database connection is open in the Database Viewer.
Use the Open TestStand SQL File dialog box to open .sql files that TestStand provides directly in the Database Viewer or to explore the TestStand .sql files directory.
The dialog box contains the following options:

Database Provider
—Specifies, by default, the database provider of the selected connection in the Database Viewer so you can view all the .sql files associated with the selected database provider. You can view the .sql files associated with the following databases that TestStand supports:
- Access
- MySQL
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Sybase

TestStand Version
—Specifies the TestStand versions associated with the .sql files you want to view. You can select the following versions:
- 2.x to 4.0
- 4.1 to 2010 SP1
- 2012 and later
- All

Open
—Opens the selected .sql file that is selected in the list and creates a new
Execute SQL
tab that contains the .sql file content. You can select multiple .sql files in the list and click the
Open
button to create multiple Execute SQL tabs.
Note Double-clicking a .sql file also opens that file and creates a new Execute SQL tab that contains the .sql file content.
- Explore —Opens the directory of the selected .sql file.
