Insert a Lock step and select Edit Lock Settings or Step Settings from the context menu to launch the Lock Settings edit tab. The following operations are available when you use the Lock step type:

• Create —Creates a lock reference.
• Lock —Guarantees that only one thread executes certain steps at a time.
• Early Unlock —Releases the lock before the lock operation lifetime expires.
• Get Status —Finds out information about an existing lock or determines if a particular lock exists.
