LabVIEW NXG Adapter

Note The LabVIEW NXG Adapter is hidden by default. Use the Adapter Configuration dialog box to configure the LabVIEW NXG Adapter.
The LabVIEW NXG Adapter provides advanced functionality for calling LabVIEW NXG VIs from TestStand. You can use the LabVIEW NXG Adapter to complete the following tasks:
  • Call VIs with arbitrary connector panes.
  • Call VIs that belong to a component in a LabVIEW NXG project.
  • Configure and call LabVIEW NXG Property Nodes using I/O References.
  • Run VIs using the LabVIEW NXG development system.
  • Run VIs using the LabVIEW NXG Run-Time Engine.
  • Create and edit VIs from TestStand.
  • Debug VIs (step in/step out) from TestStand.

When you specify a module for a step, the TestStand Sequence Editor displays the LabVIEW NXG Module tab and TestStand User Interfaces launch the Edit LabVIEW NXG VI Call dialog box.

The LabVIEW NXG Adapter can run VIs using the LabVIEW NXG development system or the LabVIEW NXG Run-Time Engine (RTE).

Use the LabVIEW NXG Adapter Configuration dialog box to configure the LabVIEW NXG Adapter to select LabVIEW NXG development system or Run-time engine and choose to auto-build GLLs at execution time or to validate GLL path.
Note The LabVIEW NXG Adapter and related features are only available in 64-bit TestStand because LabVIEW NXG is a 64-bit application. If you try to use LabVIEW NXG steps in a 32-bit version of TestStand, you receive an error and the step's settings are disabled.
