Learn about the limitations that might prevent SystemLink from connecting to your MongoDB instance.

  • NI does not support configurations where multiple SystemLink servers use the same MongoDB instance.
  • NI Does not support configurations where another application uses the same MongoDB instance as SystemLink.
  • SystemLink can connect to and use a sharded MongoDB cluster, mongos. However, SystemLink does not take advantage of the horizontal scaling capabilities that a sharded cluster enables.
  • SystemLink 2023 Q3 and earlier cannot connect to MongoDB instances if the MongoDB username contains a dash or underscore.
