Using the Data Clearing Utility

The RTG installation includes a data clearing utility to clear any sensitive information from both volatile and non-volatile memory on the system. Run this utility either when the application is shut down or no RTG applications are running.
- Navigate to the <Program Files>\National Instruments\RTG\data-clearing-utility folder.

Open a command line interface.
- Press <Windows>+<S> and select Command Prompt.
- Type cmd in the search field and select Command Prompt or right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

Drag RTG Data Clearing Utility.exe into
the command line interface.
C:\Users\nitest>"C:Program Files\National Instruments\RTG\data-clearing-utility\RTG Data Clearing Utility.exe"
Note Running the Data Clearing Utility clears all previously stored RTG calibration data for any device that has been calibrated with RTG's Calibration on that system. -
Press <Enter>.
The utility runs and returns Sanitization Procedure Passed when it completes.
