Install the RF Recording Software on the PXI Controller or any Windows 10 computer where the InstrumentStudio UIs might be used.

Note If you are setting up a remote recording system, ensure you follow the processes to install and configure software in Setting Up the Data Storage Computer.

Installing through NI Package Manager

Complete the following steps to install RF Recording Software if you already have NI Package Manager installed. Otherwise, skip this section.

  1. Open Package Manager.
    Note Refer to the Package Manager User Manual for complete information about using Package Manager.
  2. Use the search field in Package Manager to find the following packages:
    • RF Recording Software
  3. On the product page, click INSTALL
  4. Follow the NI Package Manager prompts to complete the installation.
    Note Package Manager may recommend additional software by default. NI recommends that you accept these additional items.

Installing from Download through an Internet Browser

Complete the following steps to install RF Recording Software if you do not already have NI Package Manager installed. This process will automatically install NI Package Manager on the computer as part of the installation process.

  1. Navigate to the RF Recording Software Download Page at ni.com/support.
  2. Click Download to download the installer.
  3. Open the downloaded installer to begin the installation process.
  4. Follow the NI Package Manager prompts to complete the installation.

Installing from Download through an Internet Browser (Offline Installer)

Some situations may require RF Recording Software installation on a computer that is not connected to the internet. Complete the following steps to install RF Recording Software in such a situation. If you do not already have NI Package Manager installed, it will be automatically installed as part of the installation process.

  1. On a computer that is connected to the internet, navigate to the RF Recording Software Download Page at ni.com/support.
  2. Click Install Offline, then click Download in the Offline Installer dialog box to download the offline installer .iso file.
  3. Transfer the .iso file to the target computer where RF Recording Software is to be installed.
  4. Open the .iso archive and open install.exe to begin the installation process.
  5. Follow the NI Package Manager prompts to complete the installation.
