Install NI-RPDSsc on the data storage computer.

  1. On a computer that is connected to the internet, navigate to the RF Recording Software Download Page at ni.com/support.
  2. On the RF Recording Software Download Page, ensure Linux is selected as the supported OS, and then click DOWNLOAD to download the NI-RPDSsc Debian package.
  3. Transfer the NI-RPDSsc Debian package to the data storage computer using your preferred method, such as physical media or SSH.
    Note NI recommends transferring the package to the /tmp directory, however this is not required for a successful installation.
  4. Install the NI-RPDSsc package by entering the following command in the Linux terminal: 
    sudo apt install <package name>
    Note If the package was not installed from the /tmp directory you may encounter a warning message stating that the download was performed unsandboxed and that permissions were denied. This warning message does not indicate that the installation failed.
  5. Reboot the data storage computer.
