PXIe-8520 Examples

NI installs example code with your software or driver that demonstrates the functionality of PXIe-8520, helps you advance your knowledge, and provides building blocks for your own applications.

While the experience can differ slightly across products and versions, examples generally install with your NI product or driver and can be accessed from within NI software.

NI-XNET is the driver you use to program the PXIe-8520.

Ethernet Basic Input and Output.lvproj Understand how to perform a variety of fundamental NI-XNET operations with Ethernet frames. Read frames, write frames, log frames, or replay frames.
NI-XNET IP Stack Simple TCP.lvproj Set up a basic TCP connection. Initialize a port as a TCP server that can send data to a client, and connect a client to the TCP server to receive data.
Ethernet Sleep and Wake.lvproj Learn how to use the TC10-compliant sleep and wake capability of the PXIe-8520. Make requests for a port to sleep or wake up, or monitor the sleep-related status and properties of a port.

Examples may not be available in all supported programming environments or programming languages.
