Components of a PCIe-6509 System
The PCIe-6509 is designed for use in a system that may require hardware, drivers, and software to optimize PCIe-6509 for your application. Use the minimum required PCIe-6509 system components as a starting point for building your system.
Note A system and the surrounding
environment must meet the requirements defined in the relevant specifications
document(s).
| Component | Description and Recommendations |
|---|---|
| PC with PCIe Slot |
You need to insert the PCIe-6509 into an applicable PCIe system slot on your PC. |
| DIO Module |
Your digital I/O module. |
| Cables and Accessories |
Cables and accessories allow connectivity to/from your instrument for measurements. Refer to Part Numbers for Recommended Cables and Accessories for recommended cables and accessories and guidance. |
| NI-DAQmx
|
Instrument driver software that provides functions to interact with the PCIe-6509 and execute measurements
using the PCIe-6509. Note NI recommends
always using the most current version of NI-DAQmx with the PCIe-6509. You can find the NI-DAQmx driver requirements in
the NI-DAQmx
