Application Library

The Application Library contains predefined library elements (setups, templates) with different configurations. Each Application object is parameterized for one specific test bench application.

One Application object consists of:

  • Exactly one Application system—where the general behavior of the application is defined. This should not be changed.
  • Any positive number of Application configurations—Each configuration represents a specific peculiarity of the application. Here you are allowed to change the parameters.

Each test references exactly one of the Application elements with one specific Application configuration. The most important part of the Application configuration is the test case, which is located in the Testcase sub-folder and contains:

  • One link to the system of the test case. Here nothing should be changed.
  • One link to the selected configuration of the test case. Here changes are allowed.

Examples for the configuration options of Powertrain applications:

  • IP address of the process control unit (PCU) language
  • Resolution of used monitors
  • Used device drivers and connected devices
  • Used measurement equipment
