Use the NI-FGEN Configure Trigger & Synchronization VIs to configure signal generator triggering and synchronization and to route signals from the signal generator to other devices.

niFgen Configure Trigger Mode VI
Sets the trigger mode for your device.
niFgen Configure Trigger (poly) VI
Configures the trigger source. The signal generator responds to a trigger according to the current trigger mode.
niFgen Configure Synchronization VI
Sets the signal generator to receive a synchronization signal to synchronize two or more signal generators. One signal generator should route a SYNC signal to a RTSI line using the niFgen Export Signal VI (niFgen Route Signal Out VI for the NI 5404), and other signal generators should receive the signal using this VI.
niFgen Send Software Edge Trigger VI
Sends a command to trigger the signal generator. This VI can act as an override for an external edge trigger.
niFgen Export Signal VI
Routes signals (clocks, triggers, and events) to the output terminal you specify.
5404 Routing
Use this VI to configure the routing of signals in the NI 5404 signal generator to RTSI lines and front panel connectors.
