All analyses are set up from the Analyses and Simulation dialog box. You can start the active analysis (the one selected in this dialog box) by clicking the Run button in the dialog box, the Simulate menu, or the Simulation toolbar.

  For new designs, the default active analysis is Interactive.

When you run an analysis, the results are displayed in the Grapher and saved for use in the Postprocessor.

Analyses have specific options that you can set:

  • the analysis parameters (all have default values)
  • which output variables to save and display
  • a title for the analysis (optional)
  • custom values for analysis options (optional).

Analysis settings are saved with the design.

Sample files for use with analyses are installed at C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite <version>\samples\Analyses\.
