Returns a list of groups available on a specific domain. Groups can contain users or other groups. You must manually select the polymorphic instance to use.

Inputs/Outputs

  • cstr.png domain machine —

    domain machine is the name of the computer where the domain is located. The default is localhost.

  • cstr.png domain name —

    domain name is the name of the domain from which to get a list of groups.

  • ci32.png timeout (30 s) —

    timeout limits the time that this VI waits for the information to return from the domain. The default is 30 seconds.

  • cerrcodeclst.png error in (no error) —

    error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

  • i1dcclst.png group principals —

    group principals lists information about group accounts available from the domain.

  • ienum.png principal type —

    principal type returns whether the specified domain account is a group or user account.

  • istr.png principal name —

    principal name returns the name of the user or group account.

  • istr.png description —

    description returns the description of the user or group account.

  • istr.png fullname —

    fullname returns the full name for the user or group account.

  • inclst.png ID —

    ID returns the unique identifier of the user or group account.
