I/O Group Server Configuration Dialog Box

Click the Configure Server Queues, Devices and Items button on the I/O Group Configuration dialog box to display this dialog box.
Use this dialog box to specify the buffer size for value changes for an I/O server you migrate from the Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module 7.1.
- Devices and Items—LabVIEW does not support dynamic configuration of Devices and Items. If you configure this page of the I/O Group Server Configuration dialog box, LabVIEW modifies the server registration file permanently.
This page contains the following components:
- Device List—Specifies the device with which the VI-based I/O server communicates.
- Add—Adds a device to the Device List.
- Delete—Removes the device you select from the Device List.
- Item List for Device—Lists all data items to which the I/O server can read or write.
- Add—Adds a data item to the Item List for Device.
- Delete—Removes the data item you select from the Item List for Device.
- Queues—Specifies the configuration for the input and output queues of the I/O server.
This page contains the following components:
- Input queue element size (elements)—Specifies the size, in elements, of the input queue.
- Input queue binary size (bytes)—Specifies the size, in bytes, of the input queue.
- Output queue element size (elements)—Specifies the size, in elements, of the output queue.
- Output queue binary size (bytes)—Specifies the size, in bytes, of the output queue.
- Server shutdown timeout (seconds)—Specifies the time, in seconds, before the Shared Variable Engine (SVE) aborts the server when the SVE needs to shut down.
