Resizing Objects by Clicking and Dragging
You can manually resize objects by clicking and dragging the object to the desired size.
To resize an object by clicking and dragging, complete the following steps.

Move the Positioning tool over the object.
Resizing handles
or
appear at the points where you can resize the object.If the object is not resizable, resizing handles do not appear.

Move the cursor over a resizing handle to change the cursor to the resizing
cursor
.

Depending on your objective, resize the object as follows.
Option Description Resize Click and drag a resizing handle. Maintain proportions of the object Press Shift while you click and drag a corner resizing handle. Resize an object around its center point Press Ctrl while you click and drag the resizing handles. Both maintain proportions and resize around the center point Press the following key or keys while you click and drag the resizing handles, depending on your operating system: - Windows: Shift+Ctrl
- macOS: Option
- Linux: Alt
Resize an object as you add it to the front panel - Select the object on the palette.
- Click on the front panel to place the object, and keep holding the mouse button down.
- Drag the mouse until the border outlines the
object size you want.
You can hold down Shift or Ctrl while dragging.
Tip If the alignment grid is enabled, you can resize an object only in discrete units that match the size of the grid. To resize an object continuously, press the G key while holding the resizing handle down. Then, drag to resize. -
Apply or discard the new size of the object.
Option Description Keep the new size Release the mouse button. Cancel the resizing operation Do either of the following: - Continue dragging the resizing handle outside the window until the border disappears. Then, release the mouse button.
- Press the Esc key.
