Disabling the Getting Started Window on Launch

When you start LabVIEW, the Getting Started window appears. You can instead have LabVIEW open to a new, blank VI by default.

To launch LabVIEW without the Getting Started window, complete the following steps.

  1. Select Tools » Options... to display the Options dialog box.
  2. Select Environment from the Category list.
  3. Place a checkmark in the Skip Getting Started window on launch checkbox.
  4. Click OK.

After you select this option, the Getting Started window appears after you close all open VIs. This option affects the window only at startup.
