Owning Palette: Power Measurement VIs

Requires: Electrical Power Toolkit. This topic might not match its corresponding palette in LabVIEW depending on your operating system, licensed product(s), and target.

Use the Advanced VIs to perform common electrical power measurement using integral-cycle voltage and current signals and to perform harmonic analysis using resampled integral-cycle voltage and current signals.

To perform common electrical power measurement using integral-cycle voltage and current signals, first use the Reference Signal Processing (Zero Crossing) VI and then the To Integral Cycles VI to get integral number of cycles of the voltage and current signals. You then use the VIs on the Power Measurement palette to measure common electrical power parameters.

To perform harmonic analysis using resampled integral-cycle voltage and current signals, first use the Reference Signal Processing (Zero Crossing) VI, the Resampling for Power Measurement VI, and then the Build Data Blocks VI to get integral-cycle data blocks of the resampled voltage and current signals. You then use the VIs on the Harmonics palette to perform harmonic analysis.

Palette ObjectDescription
Reference Signal Processing (Zero Crossing)Calculates the zero crossing times and the average fundamental frequency of a reference signal.
To Integral CyclesDivides the voltage and current signals into integral-cycle data for power measurement, according to the trigger times that you specify.
SubpaletteDescription
Harmonics VIsUse the Harmonics VIs to preprocess the voltage and current signals and then to perform harmonic analysis.
