When you deploy a shared variable, the Shared Variable Engine makes the shared variable available to other VIs and across a network.

Complete the following steps to deploy a shared variable:

  1. Create a shared variable.
  2. Expand the project root to display the My Computer target.
  3. If the LabVIEW project library is not under the My Computer target, in the Project Explorer window, add the project library that contains the shared variable you created to the My Computer target.
  4. Right-click the project library and select Deploy All from the shortcut menu to deploy the shared variables in that project library.
