Technical support reports assist NI in helping you troubleshoot errors that occur in the Hardware Configuration Utility. Complete the following steps to generate a technical support report.

  1. Select the system you want to create a report for in the System pane.
  2. Select File » Create technical support report....
  3. Enter a custom location to save the report if you do not want to use the default path.
    Note Reports are saved to a ZIP (.zip) folder by default. Use either an .htm or .html file extension to save a simple summary report.
  4. Check Show report on completion to view the completed report.
  5. Click Create.
