The NI I/O Trace (formerly NI-Spy) tool monitors function calls to the ECU M&C API to aid in the debugging of an application. To launch this tool, open the Software branch of the MAX configuration tree, right-click NI I/O Trace, and select Launch NI I/O Trace.

If you have more than one NI driver installed on your computer, you can specify which APIs you want to monitor at any time. By default, all installed APIs are enabled. To select the APIs to monitor, select Tools»Options, select the View Selection tab, and select the desired APIs under Installed API Choices.
