The BTS-16110 Driver Software requires the device to be updated with the latest available firmware.

Before installing BTS-16110 Driver Software, ensure you have the latest firmware available.

  1. Connect the BTS-16110 device to a network that has internet access. You need to be able to download packages from https://download.ni.com.
  2. Log into the shell on the device as the btsadmin user.
  3. Run the firmware update command.
    For example, to update to version 25.5.0, execute the following command.

    sudo btsadmincmd softwareupdate -f https://download.ni.com/ni-linux-rt/feeds/bts-16110/25.5.0

    You will see a list of packages being downloaded and installed. The following entry marks the end of the successful update process.

    Newer firmware releases will have their respective version numbers included in the path.

  4. The device reboots automatically.
  5. If you experience any issues during firmware update, contact NI Support.
