You must connect the PE ground terminal to the grounding electrode system of the facility. Connecting PE ground guarantees the earth ground connection to the system installation.

Gather the following components to connect the BTS-16110 to ground.

  • M4 Ring lug
  • Wire, 14 AWG or larger
  • Screwdriver, Phillips #2

Complete the following steps.

  1. Attach the ring lug to the wire.
  2. Remove the grounding screw from the PE ground terminal on the BTS-16110 front panel (adjacent to the power input terminal).
  3. Attach the ring lug to the PE ground terminal.
  4. Tighten the PE grounding screw to 1.3 N · m (11.5 in. · lb) of torque.
  5. Attach the other end of the wire to the grounding electrode system of the facility.
