Configuring the Component Slot Configuration Group
Configure the componentslot-configuration group to define the slots that a test uses for the connected test components.
Each component slot can provide any number of component interfaces for the data exchange between a test and the test components. If you configure an interface for a slot, you can load test components that support the interface in the component slot. Only one test component can run on the slot at test run time.
- An interface group for the component interface.
- A componentslot-configuration group. Add the componentslot-configuration group to the desired test folder. When adding a new object, you can use the search bar to find the componentslot-configuration group.

Double-click Componentslot-configuration from the list
of objects where you added the group.
The componentslot-configuration group appears in a new configuration tab.

Add a component slot.

Select a Component slot name.
The new component slot displays in the tree view.
- Optional:
If you are configuring a PAcluster slave, enter the
Slave-Alias.
The Slave-Alias must match the slave alias that you set in PAtools PCU Configuration.
If the Slave-Alias is empty, the test component loads on the PXI of the main test.

Select a Component slot name.

Assign one or more component interfaces to the component slot that you
added.
- Click + New Component-interface.

Select the Component interface name.
Select an interface that exists in the test. Alternatively, select an interface that was imported with the central test component manager.The interface is assigned to the component slot. The interface displays in the tree view.

Configure the interfaces.
The interface variables available for configuration depend on the interface group that you created before beginning.
- Click the interface.
- For each test component variable, assign a test variable and a test operation group.
- Click Save.
