Complete the following steps to set dragging selection options:

  1. Select the General tab of the Global Options dialog box.
  2. Select one of the following in the Selection rectangle box:
    • Intersecting—The component is selected when a portion of it is contained in the dragged rectangle.
    • Fully enclosed—The entire component, including all text and labels must be in the dragged rectangle for the part to be selected.

        To toggle between the Intersecting and Fully enclosed modes, press and hold the <Z> key before dragging the mouse.
