You can select a component that has been placed on the workspace by either clicking on it or dragging the mouse to make a selection.

To select a component using the mouse, left-click on its center.

  If you wish to select a component's label or other text, but not the entire component, do not click on the center of the component—click directly on the text.

Complete the following steps to select a component by dragging the mouse:

  1. Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the cursor to form a selection rectangle on the workspace that contains the component to be selected.

      You can set whether you must enclose all or part of a component in the selection rectangle.

  2. Release the mouse. The component is selected.

  You can select individual elements in a component like the RefDes, label and so on. To move the selection to another element of the component, use the <Tab> key.
