Any named nets that are pasted use the original net name and a numbered suffix. So, if you paste a net named test, the new net name will be test_1. If you paste the same selection again, the net name will be test_2, and so on.

If the selection included an on-page connector, the connector is renamed in the same way. So, for an original net named input, with an on-page connector named signal, the results of the paste command would be a net named input_1, with an attached on-page connector named signal_1.

Auto-named nets that are pasted will have the next available net name given to them by the system.

  If you are pasting a selection that includes on-page connectors, you can select Edit»Paste special»Paste without renaming on-page connectors. This places an exact copy of the original selection on the workspace without renaming any nets or connectors. Old and new nets remain connected.
