When editing a primitive semiconductor device (for example, diode, BJT, JFET), additional options appear in the Edit Model dialog box:

  1. Select the following as desired:
    • Tools button—This accesses a selection of copying and sorting actions:

Select all—Selects the entire contents of the Model list.

Copy selected to clipboard—Copies the selected portions of the Model list to the clipboard.

Sort ascending—This is active when a column is selected in the Table view. Choose to sort the column in ascending alpha-numeric order.

Sort descending—This is active when a column is selected in the Table view. Choose to sort the column in descending alpha-numeric order.

Whether you choose Sort ascending or Sort descending, the device model level (Level), when present, remains at the top of the Table view. If you change the Level, the available parameters change.

    • Views button—Use to switch between a Table view of the model's parameters and a SPICE view.

Use the Table view to edit individual parameters, and the SPICE view to edit the model using SPICE syntax.

  2. If you are using the Table view:
    1. Select the row in the table corresponding to the parameter you wish to edit.
    2. Deselect Use default. This checkbox is not available for the device model level (Level). The level must be specified explicitly.
    3. Edit the selected parameter's Value.
  3. If you are using the SPICE view:
    1. Select SPICE view from the Views button.
    2. Enter the desired parameters.
