Components have up to 20 user fields that provide user-specific information about the component (for example, Vendor, Manufacturer).

  The titles of the user fields are entered and edited from the Database Manager.

Complete the following steps to edit the contents of a placed component's existing user fields:

  1. Double-click on the component to display its properties dialog box.
  2. Click on the User fields tab.
  3. Click in the field beside the desired user field Title in the Value column.
  4. Enter the desired information.

      If you edit the Resistance (R), Inductance (L), Capacitance (C), Tolerance or Component type for RLC components, the values in the User fields tab will clear. This is because you are defining a new unique component based on the combination of the R/L/C, Tolerance, and Component type values entered for the component. Each unique RLC component thus defined will have its own unique set of User fields saved in the database.

    When another RLC component is placed with the same combination of R/L/C, Tolerance, and Component type values, it will have the same User fields as the previously defined component.
