Overview

Battery Test System Server Software controls the functionality of your Battery Test System environment and is necessary to use Battery Test System Software. Battery Test System Server Software includes the Battery Test System Web UI, a custom UI development platform for the Battery Test System. There are two editions of the server software: Battery Test System Server Software (Windows) and Battery Test System Server Software (Enterprise).

New Features

Battery Test System Server Software 2023 Q2 includes the following new features:

  • SystemLink Enterprise support​
  • New Battery Test System Server Software (Enterprise) for installation in Kubernetes clusters​
  • MongoDB storage for storing battery test system package files and test plans
  • Enhancements for the test engineer workflow for test development, debugging and execution​
  • Web UI support for loading packages into the server
  • IT administrator enhancements for retrieving log files and restarting the server

Battery Test System Server Software (Enterprise) is installed into the SystemLink Enterprise environment. Additional Requirements for Servers and Targets

  • Latest version of one of the following browsers:
    • Chrome

Note  Battery Test System Server Software 2023 Q2 Patch 1 does not support Microsoft Edge Legacy versions (version 44 and below).

Installation Instructions

Download the Battery Test System Server Software (Windows) installer from ni.com/downloads. NI software includes NI Package Manager to handle the installation. Refer to the NI Package Manager Manual for more information about installing, removing, and upgrading NI software using NI Package Manager.

Battery Tests System Server Software (Enterprise) has been published to jfrog.io. Refer to the Battery Test Software User Manual for instructions for installing the Battery Test System Server (Enterprise).

Automating the Installation of NI Products

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes.

If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.6.2, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.6.2 separately before you install NI software.
