Using NI Software with Microsoft Windows 10
The mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber enables compact benchtop over-the-air (OTA) validation test of 5G mmWave antenna modules.
The mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber is a software add-on for mmWave OTA Validation Test Software that provides support for the chambers and positioners designed by Milliwave Silicon Solutions Inc. This software add-on features plug-and-play integration with the mmWave PXI Vector Signal Transceiver (VST) and can be used with mmWave OTA Validation Test Software to help you configure, run, visualize, and report OTA radiated performance without coding.
The mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In 1.0 for MilliBox Chamber supports Windows 10 (64-bit).
Refer to the following table and the mmWave OTA Validation Test Software Readme, accessible from mmWave OTA Validation Test Software Release Notes, for the application software versions, including service packs, supported by the mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In 1.0 for MilliBox Chamber. If you are not using NI application software, refer to Microsoft Visual Studio Support.

Note When you use the mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber, the following features of mmWave OTA Validation Test Software are not supported:
If you use the .NET API, .NET Framework 4.0 (minimum) is required. The .NET API of the mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In 1.0 for MilliBox Chamber can be used with Visual C# or Visual Basic .NET in any Visual Studio version that can target .NET Framework 4.0 or .NET Framework 4.5.
To use the .NET API, you must install the .NET class libraries or the .NET wrapper in addition to the NI device driver. For information about versions of the .NET Framework and the drivers each supports, as well as the download location of the installer files, refer to .NET Resources for NI Hardware and Software.
The mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber supports the chambers and positioners designed by Milliwave Silicon Solutions Inc.
Download the mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber installer from ni.com/downloads. NI software includes NI Package Manager to handle the installation. Refer to the NI Package Manager Manual for more information about installing, removing, and upgrading NI software using Package Manager.

After you install the mmWave OTA Positioner Control Plug-In for MilliBox Chamber, complete the following procedure before you use the software.
<NIDocDir> is an alias for the following National Instruments file folder location: Users\Public\Public Documents\National Instruments.

You can automate the installation of most NI products using command-line arguments to suppress some or all of the installer user interface and dialog boxes.
If the NI product you are installing uses Microsoft .NET 4.6.2, the .NET installer may run before any NI software installs and may require a reboot before the installation of NI software begins. To avoid a .NET reboot, install .NET 4.6.2 separately before you install NI software.

Windows 10 introduces several new capabilities and also combines features from both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
