Cosmetic Error/Bug in NI License Manager Causes Confusion During Volume License Server Connection

Problem Summary Cosmetic Error/Bug in NI License Manager Causes Confusion During Volume License Server Connection

Problem Details

When connecting to the Volume License Server through NI License Manager (Activate Software >> Connect to a volume license server), an error pop-up appears. The message states that "you have successfully connected to the volume license server", but the title reads "Unable to complete activation," which is contradictory. After closing this message, the network licenses tab shows a successful connection to the server, and the customer can launch LabVIEW without any issues. This indicates that the error is merely cosmetic and has caused confusion for the customer.

However, if the license is connected through the NILM top-left corner Preferences options >> "Manage Volume License Servers," this issue does not occur.
