Using the OrgData Module

The OrgData module is used to enter organizational data and to create data storage units (container). The data storage units serve as data containers (for measurement data, parameter data, etc.) on the Process Control Unit (PCU) and optionally in the PAtools testXplorer as well. If a testXplorer is connected, data will automatically be uploaded from the OrgData module to the testXplorer.

Name of the Data Storage Unit

Data storage units can be created manually (text entry) or automatically (data storage unit generator). Possible input for text entries can be restricted to specific characters. This restriction is configured in the database. A data storage unit generator must be specially programmed in the data storage unit for a name concept (for example <Test bench name>_<Date>_<Sequential number>).

Activating a Data Storage Unit

To save measurement data with measurement data modules (requirements measurement, cyclic measurement, etc.), a data storage unit must be created or continued. Then the data storage unit will be active.

This is represented in the userbox by a green status bar. If this is not done, no data storage unit will be activated and it will not be possible to save measurement data.

Deactivating a Data Storage Unit

A data storage unit can only be deactivated if measurement data is not actively being saved at that time. The data storage unit can be locked with the middle button (lock icon).

Deleting Data Storage Units

Data storage units can be deleted to make the display clearer and more concise. If a data storage unit is deleted, all corresponding data (measurement data, parameter data, etc.) is moved to the recycle bin. A data storage unit can only be deleted if it is not active. Only then does the button (recycle bin) become active.

Entering Organizational Data

The entries for the organizational data are configured in the database. Input is only possible if no data storage unit is active.

Hot change is an exception to this rule. If hot change is activated for a line in the configuration table (i.e. for one input field), data can be changed in the userbox even if the data storage unit is active can still be edited when the data storage unit is active.
