- NI recommends that you uninstall the previous versions of TestStand and VeriStand before installing Battery Test System Software 2024 Q1.
- If you do not remove the previous versions of TestStand and VeriStand before installing
the upgrade, you must complete the following steps after installing Battery Test System

- Rebuild any LabVIEW code, such as VIs, libraries, or models, using LabVIEW 2023. Update the package files that include this LabVIEW code.
- If you have a .teststation XML file that references a VCOM custom
device, complete the following steps:
- Locate the following line in the XML
file:
<Instrument Name="Vehicle Communication Custom Device" Type="Vehicle Communication" RootChannelPath="Targets/Controller/Custom Devices/PROVEtechRBS" ConfigurationInstrument.ConfigurationPath="Vehicle Communications.xml" />
- Replace the line you located in step 1 with the following
line:
<Instrument Name="VCOM" Type="Vehicle Communications" RootChannelPath="Targets/Controller/Custom Devices/VCOM" ConfigurationInstrument.ConfigurationPath="Vehicle Communications.xml" />
