Install the NI Data Link Test Framework, LabVIEW, and drivers.

Note NI Data Link Test Framework 2025 Q3 contains changes that are not compatible with previous versions. When upgrading to NI Data Link Test Framework 2025 Q3 from a previous version, you must first uninstall all NI Data Link Test Framework and DLsc packages from the machine before installation.
Complete the following steps.
  1. Download the latest version of NI Package Manager from ni.com/support.
    Note Refer to the Package Manager User Manual for complete information about using Package Manager.
  2. Find and install the LabVIEW and Drivers Software Bundle in Package Manager.
    1. Enter LabVIEW and Drivers in the Search products field.
    2. Click LabVIEW and Drivers.
    3. Select the LabVIEW version and 64-bit for the Bitness.
    4. Click Install.
    5. Select the following products:
      Software Miminum Version
      LabVIEW (64-bit) 2023 Q3 or later
      LabVIEW FPGA Module (64-bit) 2023 Q1 or later
      LabVIEW FPGA Compilation Tool for Vivado 2021.1 2022 Q3 or later
      PXI Platform Services 2023 Q3 or later
      Note Package Manager may recommend additional software by default. NI recommends that you accept these additional items.
    6. Click Next and follow the prompts to install the software.
  3. Use the Search products field in Package Manager to find and install the following required products:
    Software/Driver Recommended Version Notes
    FlexRIO for Integrated I/O 2025 Q3 or later Installed as part of the FlexRIO driver.
    LabVIEW Modulation Toolkit 2023 Q3 or later —
  4. Use the Search products field in Package Manager to find and install the drivers for your application:

    NI-RFSA 2025 Q3 or later Required for RX applications.
    NI-RFSG 2025 Q3 or later Required for TX applications.
    NI-RFSA/NI-RFSG Instrument Driver for Multi-Gigabit Transceiver Streaming 2025 Q3 or later Required if using NI-RFSA or NI-RFSG.
    RFmx 2025 Q3 or later The RFmx package has the option to install multiple items depending on your application. RFmx SpecAn item is required to use the RFmx Demodulator examples. All other items are not required and do not need to be installed.
  5. Use the Search products field in Package Manager to find and install version 2025 Q3 of the Data Link Test Framework package. The following table describes the additional items are recommended when installing:

    Data Link System Component RFSG Streaming Support for LabVIEW 2025 Q3 Optional Installs API utilities for NI-RFSG applications. Requires the installation of the NI-RFSG driver.
    Data Link Test Framework RFmx Streaming Support 2025 Q3 Optional Installs examples and templates that use the NI-RFmx API. Requires the installation of the NI-RFmx driver.
    Data Link System Component RFmx Streaming for LabVIEW 2025 Q3 Optional Installs API utilities for RFmx applications. Requires the installation of the NI-RFmx driver.
NI Data Link Test Framework installs support packages in the following directories:
