- Select the VST instruments in the Instruments pane.
- Select the gear icon in the Instruments pane to access the <Option> Settings window.
- Adjust settings as needed.
- Click Initialize to initialize all selected instruments.
- After instruments are initialized and RTG moves into the Connected: Inactive state, you can switch between the instruments in the instrument selection list to configure them.
- To initialize instruments using the API, complete the following
steps.
- If you are using gRPC, launch the RTG server.
- If you are using a coprocessor and the RTG local API, initialize coprocessor resources.
- List the instrument names to initialize.
- (Optional) Enter the option string for your RTG session.
- After instruments are initialized and RTG moves into the Connected: Inactive state, you can switch between the instruments in the instrument selection list to configure them.

Although the RTG generates simulated targets at varying power levels, the system assumes the incoming radar pulse maintains a constant power level. This fixed input allows for the configuration of a reference level that optimally maximizes the system's dynamic range.
