Install the Mellanox Software Tools for the NICs in the data storage computer.

Mellanox provides a separate tool—Mellanox Software Tools (mst)—for applying NIC firmware-level configurations.
  1. Using another computer with an internet browser, navigate to the NVIDIA Firmware Tools (MFT) page on the NVIDIA Website.
  2. Navigate to the MFT Download Center and click Archive Versions.
  3. Select the following options:
    • Version (Current): 4.22.1-307-LTS
    • OS Distribution: Linux
    • OS Distribution Version: DEB based
    • Architecture: x64
  4. Select mft-4.22.1-307-x86_64-deb.tgz, and if prompted, review and agree to the EULA to begin the download.
  5. Transfer the compressed installer to the data storage computer using your preferred method, such as physical media or SSH.
  6. Move the .tgz file to the workspace directory created in step 1 of Installing the Mellanox OFED Driver. Do not change the file name.
  7. Extract the installer files by executing the following command in the Linux terminal 
    tar -xzvf mft-4.22.1-307-x86_64-deb.tgz
  8. Navigate into the extracted installer folder and install MFT by executing the following command in the Linux terminal: 
    sudo ./install.sh --oem
